About

Growing revenue through the partners who take a product to market

Over three years at Pernod Ricard, from distribution development to key account management, I grew revenue through the partners who take a product to market. I renegotiated three contracts with two major clients, led a $4M campaign for wholesale clients, and built a Sales-Coverage Dashboard adopted across the Andina Region. Each result came from the same habit: understanding what a partner needs to win, then building a plan both sides believe in.

Working with AB InBev as a client, I negotiated a 20% increase in product onboarding in northern Peru by reading trends and staying close to the relationship. I also wrote a Point of Sale Execution Manual used to onboard sales representatives. This taught me that channel growth is rarely won at the negotiating table alone. It is won in onboarding, training, and follow-through.

I'm completing a Master in Management at IE Business School, with coursework in channel management, key account management, and B2B marketing. I want to work where partnerships are the route to market, in B2B, technology, and SaaS, and I remain a strong fit for FMCG.

Channel Fit

From distributors to SaaS partners: how my experience transfers

I have not sold software. I have built and grown channels, and the mechanics carry over. Here is how I see the match, and where I still have to learn.

Partners as a route to market

At Pernod Ricard

Distributors, wholesale clients, and modern trade accounts took our products to customers I could not reach directly.

In a SaaS channel

Agencies, resellers, and integrators take the platform to theirs.

Enablement and onboarding

At Pernod Ricard

A Point of Sale Execution Manual to onboard sales representatives, a kick-off event for wholesale clients, and product onboarding with AB InBev.

In a SaaS channel

Training and objection handling, so partners can sell with confidence.

Joint plans and pipeline

At Pernod Ricard

A high-season sales plan, clear targets, and a coverage dashboard adopted across five countries.

In a SaaS channel

Joint business plans with targets, and pipeline tracked partner by partner.

Expanding existing accounts

At Pernod Ricard

Renegotiated contracts and a 20% increase in product onboarding with clients I already had.

In a SaaS channel

Add-ons and expansion through co-sell and resell.

What I still have to learn

SaaS business models and their channel structures (resell, referral, and co-sell), and CRM and partner management tools such as Salesforce. My working tools so far are Excel, Power BI, and SAP.

Studies

The coursework behind the channel and account work

At IE Business School I'm building the theory behind what I did in the field: channels, key accounts, B2B marketing, and AI for commercial decisions.

Channel Management and Retailing

How products reach customers through distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, and how those partners are chosen and managed.

Strategic Sales and Key Account Management

Planning, negotiating, and growing strategic accounts.

B2B Marketing Strategy

Positioning and go-to-market for business customers.

Marketing Powered by AI

Applying AI tools to marketing analysis and execution.

Artificial Intelligence and Strategic Decisions

Using AI to inform commercial and strategic decisions.

Academic projects

Three MIM projects, framed as customer and channel stories: how a customer decides, how a market is sized, and where the growth is.

Revolut: sales channels and conversion strategy

01

Context

Revolut has 68.3M retail customers and strong engagement, but subscriptions represent only 15.7% of revenue (€706M). Most users stay on the free plan because they don't perceive enough incremental value to pay.

02

Analysis

  • Client segmentation: "international professionals / core digital natives" as the highest-impact segment
  • Competitive benchmarking against neobanks, traditional banks, and fintech ecosystems
  • Sales-channel evaluation (in-app, CRM, referrals) against user friction points (FX fees, ATM limits)
03

Recommendation

A behavior-triggered conversion strategy: detect high-usage moments (FX, travel), quantify the money the user is leaving on the table, and convert with one-tap upgrade prompts, targeting 450K new premium users across Spain, France, and Italy within 6 months.

Denza: entering Europe through B2C and B2B channels

Beyond Technology: Building Premium Trust for Denza in Europe
01

Context

Denza (BYD's premium EV brand) enters Europe with no brand equity, no customer base, and no European heritage, in a crowded market with 25 EV brands and 25% cumulative share held by non-European brands.

02

Analysis

  • Market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM)
  • Dual go-to-market: B2C (Nordic countries) and B2B (premium transport in major cities)
  • Ideal client profile and segment evaluation
  • Risk analysis on residual value and brand trust
03

Recommendation

A phased 5-year rollout starting in Northern Europe, with a mitigation plan (buy-back guarantee) addressing the top commercial risk identified: residual value in leasing contracts.

Mercadona: understanding a retail partner's model

01

Context

How does Mercadona sustain a competitive edge as a stable, fair-price retailer against high-low pricing competitors like Carrefour or Eroski, while running a limited-SKU model?

02

Analysis

  • Assortment depth-vs-breadth strategy
  • Private label economics (50–60% of sales)
  • Category role framework (destination, routine, convenience, seasonal)
  • EDLP pricing logic and the omnichannel gap
03

Recommendation

We identified the coverage gap in the "Colmena" e-commerce model and proposed three growth levers: weekly subscription baskets, a data-driven personalization layer, and accelerated hive-network expansion, to close the digital gap without diluting operational efficiency.
